Research Area: Algebras and Representation Theory. I work primarily on questions that are somehow related to culation of Schur indices, identification of Brauer equivalence classes of central simple or central separable algebras that arise in algebras generated by finite groups or closely related algebraic structures over algebraic number fields or their rings of integers. This has included work on units of group algebras, association schemes, coherent configurations, Hecke algebras, crossed product algebras, G-algebras, H-module algebras where H is a cocommutative Hopf algebra, and generalizations of Turull's Clifford theory with Schur indices in the G-algebra setting. My current project deals with a type of equivariant Brauer group called the Brauer-Clifford group that arises from an equivariant Brauer equivalence of separable G-algebras over commutative rings.
