- FINAL EXAM INFORMATION:
- The final exam will be on Friday 17 December, 2.00–5.00pm, in GYM 2. (Some other Stat100 sections will be writing in GYM1, so please come to the right
room.)
- There will be a review session on Friday 10 December, 5.00–7.00pm, in CL126 (Classroom Building).
- Office hours before the exam: Wednesday Dec. 8, Thursday Dec. 9, Tuesday Dec. 14, Wednesday Dec. 15, Thursday Dec. 16, all 2.00–4.00pm, in CW307.12.
- In addition to pens/pencils and a calculator, you will need to bring to the final exam:
- The YELLOW statistical tables.
- The GREEN formula/cheat sheet.
These were distributed in class on Thursday 2nd December. (If you missed class, make sure you collect them during office hours.)
- There is only one rule about what you can put on the green sheet: it must be handwritten.
- Two sample final exams can be found here, as can a suggested list of formulas you may want to include on your green sheet.

- The slides that I was unable to show during class on Tuesday, November 23rd are now avaiable here, while tables of

- Assignment 7 contained a typo: in Questions 6(c) and 6(d), the range of values should be
"between 999 g and 1001 g". This has now been
corrected.

Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is available for this course. This offers free out-of-class study groups to help you succeed in
this class. There will be three one-hour weekly sessions and you may choose to go to one, two, or all three sessions. The
sessions are held in CW308 (College West), at the following times: Monday 12.30–1.30pm; Tuesday
1.30–2.30pm; Wednesday 10.30–11.30am. The first session is on September 20th.
This is a good opportunity for extra practice and help with the course material, and is not to be wasted. It's there for
your benefit! Further information can be obtained from the Faculty of Science web
site, where you can find a short video.

Midterm
This will take place in class on October 28th. It will cover all material up to and including
Assignment 5 (i.e. up to correlation and regression). This is contained in chapters 1–5 of the
textbook.
