The University of Regina Statistical Consulting Centre (SCC) is a service of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Regina. Its staff provides statistical services to the provincial research community. In so doing, we hope to enhance the statistical research culture within Saskatchewan.

The SCC provides a mechanism to share statistical expertise, software, and reference materials with both academic and non-academic researchers across Saskatchewan. Typically, the SCC offers its services free of charge. However, for projects in which graduate students are extensively involved, the SCC gratefully accepts donations to compensate those students for their work.

The goals of the SCC include:

  • To promote and facilitate the interaction between researchers having expertise in statistics and those who use statistical analysis in other disciplines.
  • To enhance the reliability and validity of study designs by incorporating statistical design methods and providing assistance in data analysis.
  • To provide access to state of the art statistical resources, including expertise and advice, statistical software and reference materials.
  • To develop and maintain a database of individuals having expertise in various branches of statistics.
